The Impact of New York's HIV Reporting and Partner Notification (HIVRPN) Law: General Findings Report

Acknowledgements The New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute gratefully acknowledges the dedicated efforts of numerous individuals and community-based agencies that contributed to one or more facets of this study. Their time and talents were instrumental in helping us better understand the impact of New York State's HIV Reporting and Partner Notification Law. We would like to acknowledge Rosalind Thomas from the Department of Health's Bureau of STD Control. In addition to collaborating with us on the statewide survey of physicians, she provided valuable guidance on the systems data and face-to-face interview components of this study, and also served on the study's Oversight Committee. We would also like to thank Richard Cotroneo, Sallie Perryman and Inez Jones from the AIDS Institute's Education and Training Program. Richard provided guidance on the focus group component, while Sallie and Inez facilitated multiple focus groups for this study. We would like to thank James Holmes, focus group consultant and Marc Rodriguez, student intern for contributing to the focus group component during Year 1 of the grant. We would also like to thank Roberto Ortiz of the Prevention Planning Group, who facilitated our Spanish-speaking focus group. who performed countless hours of data entry, scheduled (and rescheduled) numerous meetings, focus groups and travel arrangements for the various components of this project. In addition, we are grateful to Kirsten Rowe for leading the administration and follow-up aspects of our survey of physicians and Tyler French who helped to pilot and administer HIV Testing, Attitudes and Practices Survey.
